The iconic shepherdess “Tia Flores” (Auntie Flowers), as everybody calls her in the village, is widely known for her generosity and her kindheartedness. Every morning she climbs up the steep and rocky hill behind her home to let her goats graze. On the top of the hill the friendly vigorous octogenarian agreed to teach us how to sew the traditional black espardenya while telling us stories about her past and sharing her personal life philosophy with us. A deeply moving moment we will never forget.
